Out of curiosity, why do people translate it as "being hated?" It's not commonly used in English, it should be the phrase "you hate me" or "he hates me." While the passive voice is sometimes used, "being hated" has never been used by any native English author in any English novel as far as I am aware. It's just weird.
There are certainly a plethora of books on Amazon with the phrase "Being Hated" in the title so I wouldn't say it's that uncommon. Although "you hate me" or "he hates me" might be more common, I don't see any fault with "being hated" and I doubt very much that the phrase has never been used in any English novel.
Anyhow, I had to go back and re-read the chapter to see exactly what the ML said. He says:
"I know that I'm hated by you."
"I think it's good that I'm properly hated."
"It's good that I'm hated."
She says:
"That it's good to be hated by someone."
"To say it's natural to be hated."
I don't see "being hated" in the translation I read.
