I like that Koharu has finally sorted through and confronted her true feelings, and that she's now attempting to deal with them responsibly. That's rare in a romance manga protagonist of any sort. And at this point, the arc of her initial, clueless resistance has dragged on long enough. I mean, I kind of hate that she's in love with Ryuu, who still seems in every way like a warm bag of wet shit... But I accept that R x K is this story's main ship.
Also, while the writing has emphasized Koharu's foolishness at every turn, I don't see her as an "idiot" (her loving husband's description). I see her as a naive young girl who doesn't yet know herself or the world very well. She's clearly not a genius, but I'd say she seems pretty normal, overall. Even as a straight male reader, I still like and relate to her more than any of other characters.
