I didn't expect it to end so suddenly and the ending was pretty mid. Kinda disappointed.

Yeah, I understand you guys, it was much less than we could've gotten, or wished for... Me too, I would've loved to see them actually do something. Hinohara not being such a wuss and accept her feelings a little. SOMETHING!!!

I think the ending is fine, honestly. Sensei did the right thing and kept it appropriate, Nagai got to grow up some more with some time and distance and decided to still pursue her after starting on his career path. Would it have been nice to see them actually get together? Sure, but it bothers me less in a short manga like this than a 200 chapter manga ending on the confession.
Maybe we'll get a little epilogue at some point?

Thanks for the scanlation!

It's not fine. The mangaka has done a lot of age gap couples. One where a middle school boy goes out with an office worker woman. The great thing about manga is the ability to tell stories (that should obviously not happen IRL) in an amazing way. I like the romances she writes. I love the classic younger boy x adult woman because it's just a fantasy.

Their romance was so cute. I wanted to see MORE. I know the mangaka could do so. much. more. If you think their romance is "wrong" then I suggest reading tags before reading any Josei or Seinen manga.

Don't jump down my throat just because I have a different opinion than you. I read all the author's other stuff in the "14-sai verse", and I didn't say or think that the age gap romance is wrong. I just think for this particular manga and these two characters, the ending works. Compared to the MC of Game Over, Nagai was still quite immature.

@princess_daphie Many Thanks for the chapter, though I believe you are mistaken that Chapter 7 is the finale of this series. Having looked at the Amazon Japan sample for the Volume 2 e-book, there's an 8th Chapter that either was not serialized normally or was intended to be Volume 2 book-exclusive and a Epilogue that is Volume 2-exclusive. So there's two more chapters worth of material to translate for this series.

I apologize for jumping at you but it was not for having a different opinion about this. It was about the age gap. I didn't know that you read the other works. I see a lot people leaving distasteful comments on Game Over and 14 Sai ni Koi. A lot on social media tend to attack others for shoujo and josei works. For that, I am sorry.

However, I can see why you say that Nagai was immature as he has a long way to go with his issues.

Oooh, I based myself off of the fact that it was 最終話, saishou-banashi, you know, and that someone said that Ch.7 was announced to be the final one on twitter somewhere. But if there's more content to be translated, as soon as I can get my hands on it, I'll put it in the duty roster for sure!

Guys, this chapter was not chapter 7, but chapter 8 after all. So I'll be working on chapter 7 soon, sorry for the confusion. We may get some more explanations yet! And there's an epilogue as well. I was told about it and confirmed it.

That's good to hear. Is the epilogue already out or is it still unreleased?

If she thought he needed to grow up so badly why did she like him as he was? And what would have prevented him growing up if they had gotten together or at least talked about how they felt? Really the only valid reason to deny everything is because society would make it nearly impossible for them, if word got out.

Thanks for translating another manga I wouldn't be able to read otherwise.

I didn't enjoy this ending, it's always boring and annoying when a writer uses things like time skips and vagueness to tell a story. I'd prefer an ending where the depths and whys are explored, in relation to the characters, to show that 5+ years after a dramatic and brutal execution of their relationship they are still apparently interested in being intimate and their feelings are unchanged. But instead of that all we got was a fast-forward and a shallow lot of abstract and vague speech. I have heard people say that the Japanese language is set up to be less direct, and is used to speak less directly than English (what I mean when I say vagueness and abstract) so perhaps this sort of thing is just a cultural aspect that I don't like but would be less unpalatable to Japanese folks. Otherwise it seems like either poor taste or a way of covering up half-assed (or unimaginative or unskilled) writing.

I was about to get mad, but I'm glad the note confirms that he did get with the teacher in the end.
