I very like this. Seem like it get axed and very rush. The villain just show up by himself, everything explain all in one. But before that, it very good. The flashback storytelling is interesting. Nice couple. The way they get each power also interesting. And the art also good. this is another mangaka that you can tell: "hey, this art is from that author " just by few second
And if you complain about no kiss or romance stuff. They did. in the first chapter, and they already together that just some daily thing. There is no point of make some here. A kiss in the end just for show some romance rather out of the place. The way the girl wait for the boyfriend at the end like always is on point. it mean now they all can live that life forever and safe now. This is not that kind of romance
I just wanna say, Aki is a HUGE bitch and had NO business sticking her nose into the two's relationship, even interrogating them. I hate her SO much. The "tragic background" does NOT excuse her SHITTY personality!!!
This was quite the mess, way too much going on. Random backstories thrown in, supernatural stuff out of nowhere, humongous plot-hole around the development of the powers, the motivations of the characters bounced around too quickly, as well as random new characters popping in and out, just way too much thrown around at once. Seems like the author didn't really know where they were going when they started and just made it up as they went. Like it really REALLY seems that way.
Well, It was a interesting story to read, I guess you can call this Story’s the “Short but heartwarming” type, it’s not bad to read something like this once in a while
Cool story with a beautiful ending! Someone in the comments said there's too much going on, but I don't think so at all! I liked this, so I can only recommend it ?
I didn't like how the characters acquired their powers was kept a mystery.
Were they given to the characters? Were they manifesting due to the character's desires? It seems like the latter, however I am only guessing.
The sudden appearance of the antagonist was jarring to say the least.
I know, I know, if you read the extra chapters then you would catch a glimpse into who the antagonist was
, but honestly the reveal that the true identity of the arsonist was
Yukimachi (or whatever his name was)
was a surprise. It would have made waaaay more sense if the antagonist turned out to be
that chick who liked Haru in middle school (you know the one who spread rumors about Natsu, I didn't care to remember her name).
And Aki was a fine addition to the story, in terms of having a third character who's life was affected by the arsonist, however her character was hard to relate to. She was too easy to figure out, and sort of unlikable at times. I don't know how to describe it well. lol
Oh right,
let me also mention that there was that sort of unnecessary bit of fan service courtesy of our Police-chan. lol
Too short, obviously was axed after the first volume and the mangaka was given only a short time to wrap up the plot, because after the first volume, everything moves to quickly it was clearly a rush job.
If this was given a full run of 10-12 volumes or more, this could have been really good.
