The last point tells all the core of the problem.• Disproportionate emotional responses? Check
• Hands out collective punishment for individual actions? Check
• Only considers self-interests while in a position of authority? Check
They're a real piece of work, huh.
I'm honestly confused about your expectations. What kind of story would you find interesting? Would you prefer if MC continue hating soccer, where the story has no soccer match at all?Man, thought a soccer yuri would be something unique and interesting.. but irregular updates aside the story itself feels kinda weird, things are just blown out of proportion and mc's oh so bad "trauma" in the beginning she supposedly changed schools for so often and dropped her "beloved" passion for, just feels insanely insignificant considering its chapter 12 and she essentially already dropped all of it for absolutely no reason besides being forced into a position she was supposed to not want to be in 🤨
So far the story was just her being forced into the soccer club after transferring to a school, she thought had no soccer club, then said club is randomly being threatened to be disbanded by a 4 foot tall gnome with anger issues followed by a match with dissolving the club on the line for absolutely no reason, in which mc obviously has to participate because how couldn't she have gotten emotionally invested in the club in 2 chapters, when she hadn't touched the sport for years cuz of injury, but that was all it took 😐
We know nothing about the actual protagonists of the story still 😶
Anyway Merry Xmas 😂
Unique in a sense of me not having seen the setting before in said genre.I'm honestly confused about your expectations. What kind of story would you find interesting? Would you prefer if MC continue hating soccer, where the story has no soccer match at all?
When you said this is not unique, are you comparing it to a shounen soccer manga or a regular, non-soccer yuri manga?
Well I guess MC overcoming trauma isn't unique at all. But I think combining it with yuri and soccer is interesting, and I have been enjoying it. So, if you have a recommendation for a similar manga, I would like to know.
So, it seems like you're looking for a big drama, and you're disappointed that this is a light hearted sport manga? Understandable, I guess this manga just isn't for you.Unique in a sense of me not having seen the setting before in said genre.
Also it's not about the result but the process, which is essentially not present she just stopped hating it without really any build up, it's not like she's overcome said trauma it's more like it just went poof, just was expecting it to actually engage in that topic, since it was played up that much supposedly affecting a big part of her life and even the family as a whole.
Yeah, it's reasonable. But the proper action is to just cut off immediately and forever. Holding a grudge and then dragging multiple people into said grudge is mental illness.Unpopular opinion i think its a fine reason to not want to talk again to someone as the issue she had with Yui is closely related to Yui's personality. Does it amerite having everybody else pay for these issues? Nah, but i think its kind of understandable
Unfortunately this is par of the course for ANY yuri manga. Best be strapped for convoluted plotlines and slow burn in trying to resolve 2517843 miscommunications between young girls.Man, thought a soccer yuri would be something unique and interesting.. but irregular updates aside the story itself feels kinda weird, things are just blown out of proportion and mc's oh so bad "trauma" in the beginning she supposedly changed schools for so often and dropped her "beloved" passion for, just feels insanely insignificant considering its chapter 12 and she essentially already dropped all of it for absolutely no reason besides being forced into a position she was supposed to not want to be in 🤨

Sorry to say but it's unpopular because it doesn't make sense to held a grudge for so many years for a thing like that. More so because her friend didn't want to be a bootlicker, just wanted to ease things letting the club grow while continuing to play with her friend without drama. In her head it was a win for everyoneUnpopular opinion i think its a fine reason to not want to talk again to someone as the issue she had with Yui is closely related to Yui's personality. Being traumatized by those events at the age of 10 and holding a grudge over them is mostly understandable. The problem is what this translates into now that she's in a position of power: not rejection, but cruelty. It's pretty realistic and it's part of why I like the manga, but now that the club is safe I hope this is the last we'll be seeing of Mai for a while.Unpopular opinion i think its a fine reason to not want to talk again to someone as the issue she had with Yui is closely related to Yui's personality. The bully was obv in the wrong, and I understand being pissed by the "you should have got angry" thing, but her overreaction is almost as bad
if she really didn't had her back she wouldn't even stepped in between her friend and the bullies, leaving her be; children or not a person should understand that muchI disagree. It makes total sense to hold a grudge if you are a kid who was bullied and you feel your best friend didn't have your back. It may seem like an overreaction but it makes total sense, specially for a kid. And she still is a kid anyway. This happened when she was 10, and now she's what, 13-14? It hasn't been that long.
And of course it's not right to punish all the team for what her friend did..... but again, kids aren't rational most of the time. So her behavior makes total sense.
You're projecting adult logic into kids. Kids don't always understand that much. All she saw was that her friends was trying to please everyone, including the bullies, instead of actually side with her, her friend and victim. And that is enough for a kid to hold a grudge.if she really didn't had her back she wouldn't even stepped in between her friend and the bullies, leaving her be; children or not a person should understand that much
