That's a very weird lack of reaction for being called that name. But then again she kinda has a hard time with understanding how she's supposed to feel.
>shoujo ai
If y’all blind mofos wanted a pure wholesome mother daughter thing then you’ve came to the wrong manga
Anyway, big gay YIKES.. Haru is pretty smart so she’ll figure out Midori had a thing for her mom... might feel uncomfortable for her now and maybe even make her see Midori differently
Everyones freaking out about the drama between haru and midori and meanwhile i seem to be the only one FREAKING THE FUCK OUT of that bitch fake friend of haru who saw her with the aunt, oh god if that bitch does anything to them ima be so dam mad
I never really understood japanese characters when they mention “I’ve never really had a cold before”...does this mean that there are people have genuinely never gotten even a bit sick before?
Is this a sign of a good immune system or just bad luck that’ll eventually mean they could have problematic Colds in the future?
There isn't a one-to-one mapping between the meaning of the word being translated as “cold” and what English-speakers mean by “cold”. Typically, a better translation would be “flu”.
(There's also weirdness in the manga-theory of how one contracts this disorder, as it seems contagious and yet caused by various things other than microbes. Best just to accept this dimension as one of fantasy.)
@JKTV there are plenty of series improperly tagged as shoujo ai / yuri. It might end up yuri but convincing yourself it will this early in the story is just setting yourself up for disappointment.
@livesofflight I'm crossing my fingers and desperately hoping that it stays a familial relationship between Haru and Midori. 😭 Shoujo ai is still a valid tag if the main f/f relationship is between Midori and Tsugumi in their past.
My main wish is for H/M to *at most* be a one sided crush on Haru's end (she's at a confusing age and her mom has been the main adult caregiver for her entire life) before it settles into a 100% family role. Maybe both Haru and Midori turn out to be wlw and move on to women/partners of appropriate ages and can always rely on each other as family.
Like they both need a stable, non-romantic relationship in their lives. :/
don't you just love a classic trope done right
this manga will be the death of me, i'm sure
i don't want Haru to be hurt by this, but still i wonder how she felt about that fever talk, i have several plausible conjectures
all in all, lovely chapter
Istg if the drama includes that Rikka girl being in love with Haru I will loose my shit- (Also poor Haru- I don't really like the trope of "she's just a substitude for someone else" but... I'm already here, so I'll finish- Also it keeps switching between making me thing it will have a good or bad ending, so I'm just curious to know what ends up happening-)
