@KanadeChan maybe that was an option before she starting suspecting that Midori took her only because she looks like her mother or that she loved her mother. And still, it's a really difficult topic, it's way easier to talk with someone who is not so tangled in the situation and can speak without hiding anything.
Now, I did NOT expect Haru to make that move lo/ and she got lucky with this encounter, but yeah it's a manga so it's fine XP
@Midoriha To be fair, even if it wasn't obvious to other people, Tsugumi did seem to hold Midori in unusually high regard. There's a reason why Haru was fed with stories of Midori rather than other random classmates.
That said, there are still things that Midori wouldn't know that would be more obvious to an outsider to the relationship. I think next chapter will be interesting at least.
thx for the translation, I hope that Tsugumi was not raped by a teacher or a relative of his family and thus get pregnant, hence his sudden disappearance.....
@Midoriha They were definitely close friends, it just wasn't obvious to people. Of all the people she could have kept a lifeline to to the day she died, it was Midori, a girl she knew in middle school. Definitely not the behavior of "being friends with everyone"
