They mostly seem the same to me. The only real difference is the usual hand-size obsessions but I suppose female characters rarely have big hands. For whatever reason, Kodama Naokos shoujo work seem so standard for the shoujo-romance genre, while her yuri works seem unusual... I wonder if it's because they are actually different, or because of our expectations of them.
I will say it somehow makes it funnier to read because I imagine the sex like when I used to read Harry Potter fanfictionAverage British translation

...how common is rape and assault in the shoujo category, that it's necessary to point out when a work doesn't rely on it?It's all quintessential of Naoko Kodama's work: The protagonist starts the story in some high-concept specific situation that has been going on for a while already, an ability to create inner turmoil conflict without necessarily relying on rape, though rape also happens frequently
It's almost universal in inner turmoil conflict titles, especially those with sex scenes. It was necessary to point out a work doesn't rely on it to create inner turmoil....how common is rape and assault in the shoujo category, that it's necessary to point out when a work doesn't rely on it?

You may not know it, but sometimes teachers are referred to as masters. In fact, that's exactly how I used to refer to my teachers as a kid. And mate is a pretty well known term for friends, like bro or pal3 pages in:
I was surprised when it was revealed they were slaves to some "master". And calling ppl around them their "mate"s so blatantly like that. Whoever wrote this is clearly signaling that in this universe slavery is normal and they are considered subhuman beasts (even to themselves).
page 4:
"his mother's sex offender" is that another term for "master", something demeaning they use in their own head as a small form of revolt?
page 9:
.init() was misspelled (edit: actually, for some reason he keeps on initializing? Even if we assume it's some form of programmer slang, it really sounds odd to have them repeat it every sentence - what is he, some cute "degozaru" neko samurai?)
page 16+:
she went from thinking he's sleeping around, to thinking he wanks a lot, after she tried masturbating herself.
hoh, they have schools for their slaves? Wonder if they get teachers too, or if the masters have to hold the classes themselves.
page 20+:
so runaway slaves are not a concern for ppl? And seems they can save and use money for themselves, without their master taking it.
And seems he's just being considered "man", and not a person with identity (ie. "you")
And now I reached the end:
Seems she believes she will be able to get a job to take care of him, despite how they already have a "master". And the credits page, I thought the tl was just a troll, but it says he tried to stick as close to original as possible, meaning all the above was not actually a joke, but actually the world mangaka were building! :O
Bri’ish I suppose?I despise British people
