The other of the pens on page 73 is a Lamy Safari or a Lamy Al-Star. These two have the same form, but the barrel and cap of the Safari are of plastic, while that of the Al-Star are of aluminum. (Hence the name of the Al-Star.) As inexpensive fountain pens go, these are each great, though I think that the Al-Star is the better choice.
The nib sizes of European pens (such as these two) are different from those of Japanese pens. A European EF is equivalent to a Japanese F, and the Japanese EF is wonderfully fine.
