@secreto7 Japanese have a very big divide between very sexually active people (which even include serial rapists and schoolgirl prostitutes) and extremely awkward and conservative normal people who barely have sex at all even in marriage. Japanese society itself is so damn stiff the sheer peer pressure severely suppresses libido when in social situations and the active people mostly consist of non-conformers who don't really fit in. And the best conformers are outright herbivorous, hell, the Japanese invented the term! So on average, Japan is the least sexually active country on Earth.

Also, Kuraki-san is very shy and her sleep troubles were most likely a symptom of anxiety and depression - not the best state for social interactions.
