These complaints keep popping up, and every time we'll answer with, just block and or report them. The internet has tons of these people, It's not just a Mangadex problem.

I don't know what the comment is, since you didn't post a link, but I'm assuming it wasn't removed because the mod didn't think it needed to be. However, if you tell us what the comments were, then we can get a better idea of what you're talking about.

Hello, for many months I've noticed there are many hateful, rude, abusive and discriminatory comments in the comment sections, and the only thing we can do is report a comment, but not report a user? We can only block a user, but for other people, these comments still stay visible.

well actually to some degree you have reported the person. The staff don't go just by what you said but actually go look at the comment and will be aware of them. At which point if the person has a repeated history or says something truly extreme or disturbing they may choose to take an action against that person, example comment ban for x days to banning the person.

My personal view I typically let stuff slide as much as possible since we all have different levels of tolerance and different views and opinions. I would rather read or at least leave comments then censor comments with a few exceptions. Even if it bothers me someone else might want to read it. An example of this is your own post here kind of bothers and irks me since you seem to be implying that you should be able to decide what I value, what I see, not just what you see and value. see bold portion of quote. Should I report you for being offensive, for wanting to take away my choice?

If you really can't stand to see more comments from your enemy, then just block him/her/it.

I reckon a comment would have to be really super bad to warrant a ban on a first offense against the MD rules.

I kinda agree with BzBzz here. Censorship is stupid and it serves no purpose and is ultimately abused. If you find something offensive, it’s not necessary that the same is true for everyone and one person can not ultimately rate someone else’s stance if it is conflicting in nature. I have no idea what the original post was so I’ll leave it at that as that’s all I can make out. If the situation is serious enough to be a crime, then it is to be handled differently.
