I've been so conditioned by other series injecting unnecessary drama into plot that this manga gives me anxiety when it doesn't.

Sadly, I'll never trust a romcom to try and make things interesting without resorting to soap opera melodrama. So I just know we'll eventually get the classic fight caused by a ridiculous misunderstanding, or an appearance by a surprise ex-girlfriend.
