I'm not overly familar with Kirara's development, but could it be that their manga have become more yuri-flavored over time? Gochiusa and Kinmoza aren't anywhere close to this or Slow Start (the little I read of it). This might just as well have been released in Yuri Hime (if that still exists). Considering Yuru Yuri, the lack of anything actual happening wouldn't even be a hindrance.
