I like that he took action whilst trying to mostly hide his involvement rather than letting a massacre happen. Especially since he'd just been suspected. It's actually some reasonable logic for the characters.
The fact that this is noteworthy shows how fucking low the bar is for series overall. Ah well. I really like this MC so far, he's driven and actually has sexual desire that isn't smothered by "she could never see me as a member of the opposite sex uwu"

I also like that he actually stepped in and saved lives instead of brooding for some made-up "attention" reason
