it is completely unnatural to not have any creativity or curiosity about food. The complete ignorance about food in this world is starting to get me again..... it's like whatever ruling being just striped all curiosity and the willingness to learn out of these people

I actually kind of like it as world building.it is completely unnatural to not have any creativity or curiosity about food.
Ohh I didn't think about it like that, that does make it make more sense I suppose.Might not be that good an idea to make food containing lactose in a world where drinking milk is unheard of.

Almost all food they get, comes preprepared from monsters when they kill them needing only the minimal of cooking.
So the world has never had to get creative with food creation and preservation, instead a lot more focus would be put on adventuring to fight bigger dungeons for more food.
It's like how 50% of Americans has no cooking proficient, since they simply don't need it for their day to day, but with the added bonus of the world never having needed it, so there isn't even a tradition of doing it.
Sure but are they really going into the dungeons for food? All i hear about is HP and MP potions, all other cooking ingredients are considered worthless with the exception of olive oil which is used for lamps.Might not be that good an idea to make food containing lactose in a world where drinking milk is unheard of.
