And how does he think he can get away with using that without anyone noticing, eventually someone will, I mean... it's a literal collar, you can't get much more visible than that. Even with a scarf, it will only work for so long.

...how can this little twig train to be a knight his whole life and still be so scrawny? It doesn't even take a month to develop a 6 pack and some firm muscles if your serious about it. Are the Japanese allergic to fitness or something? This seems oddly common among jap MC's for some reason even tho it doesn't make a bit of sense.

It's for the same reason as that almost all the MCs in these stories look like the same scrawny 14-year old Japanese schoolboy;

Scrawny Japanese schoolboys are the target audience for stories like this. So the MCs are drawn and written in ways so that they can easily self-insert as them.

And the average mangaka isn't exactly a gymrat either.

"WELL why does he wear a slavecollar?"
"Uh... it is modern art?"
seriously it is very strongely implied he has to be in a team. his teammates WILL notice that collar easily and kill that little shit brutally.

I hope that the mangaka doesn't expect Page 4 and that sahuagin encounter in Chapter 4 will count as the legally mandated onsen/beach chapter that every fantasy manga must have. Japanese law is not kind to those who try to skirt it.

It's nice to see some self-awareness about how ridiculous most summoning systems are, at least. I honestly never expected that.
