Is the rate for rainbow skills that high or he's just that lucky? Everytime we've seen him doing a pull he's always got at least a rainbow and heck he even got 3 rainbows and only 1 gold in this chapter. As a gacha gamer, that makes me extremely salty

I think what he's saying is, "It's a shame I can't run back to dry land" / "because this bridge (pier, probably) is too narrow." Unsure if this is MTL. If so, there might be confusion about "I can't get close to it" as in, "with that spear's reach, I can't get within sword range."

This is all a guess because the LN/WN (Trash skill Gacha – Chapter 12) has him being attacked on a beach.

Disclaimer: I don't know the manga, can't read Japanese, etc. I'm extremely grateful to all scanlators, and am not criticizing. Any scanlation is better than no scanlation. If it's inconvenient to edit this, NBD; just trying to say "thank you" in a helpful(?) way.

It could be that this game's Gacha Store offers this incentive: "If you go for the 11-pack, you'll get at least one Rainbow ball, guaranteed!"

As if any IRL gacha games will be that generous. I'm salty, too.

Yeah. Just because his Appraisal skill later said they were edible didn't necessary mean they'd taste good. But, at least it wouldn't be a case of:
