There are things you can do that no one else can, and others using the same have saved hundreds of thousands of lives". It depends how you phrase it, and how you take it. Certainly, there are parts where "and it's useful" but that's true for any talent.

Despite having medical knowledge, you'd still want to provide evidence that product is safe. specially when dealing with somebody who literally choked somebody half to death for selling flour medicine. a "military doctor" would likely be the best source of testing in your generic fantasy world, since their whole job is "Will this fix X, or will I have to find somebody to dig more graves."
