Think you've fundamentally misunderstood my comment. I wasn't looking for the MC to do more fix anything, only that the resolution was slightly underwhelming with how little of the noble's fate was presented.

While I do like nice cathartic revenge that solves the problem, I also like having an MC who can't solve (or doesn't want to) solve all the problems.
Earlier in this arc, when the MC goes to see the king, he interrupts the king while he's banging some strumpet, and then the king goes into the reality that this fiefdom provides 1/4 of the finances for the kingdom. That's some reality that can't just be brushed off. Offing the noble might cause more misery than it resolves. And it shows that the king is not bad, but he's also somewhat weak.
True, we don't get the catharsis, but I appreciate the author not going "brute force solves all problems" route.
