So basically 1 is a harem, 2 is a pseudo-harem, and 3 is a story with a single male MC and a bunch of female supporting characters.
- Multiple romantic partners with mutual love on both sides.
- One primary partner with mutual love, but other women with a one-sided (romantic) love for the MC. MC likely cares for them, but does not love them.
- One primary partner with mutual love. Other women are attracted to MC for various reasons, but aren't dedicated to him, though they are around him a lot.
the girl with twin tails that mc is talking to at the end is herso whatever happened to the leopard lady?
The one with twintails is the Furry in disguise.so whatever happened to the leopard lady?
Explaining a bit more:It's definitely not a harem. It's true that Touka does receive some attention from multiple females, but it's pretty mild. Hmm... Harem level is something like:
So this is probably a very mild version of 3. At which point, I don't think that it qualifies as harem.

The novel version is already at the final arc and...Someone once told me at the start of the manga that the novels are labeled as harem. Honestly, I don't see it that way. Maybe romance, but not harem. Can anyone confirm this from the novels?
The Light Novel gives more storylines to the side characters (especially Seras and Hijiri who have a lot of PoV she doesn't have in the Web Novel). The battle the manga just adapts was heavily focused on the side characters, but it's not the only one. Volume 8 (the manga is at the start of volume 6) goes even crazier with side characters.Explaining a bit more:
The manga tends to go light on the other storylines (and even so, some readers complain vociferously), so there's a limit on how much we'll see about the independence of the various characters.
- There are definitely more female characters than male characters around the MC. That said, most of them are not supporting characters. Sogou, Hijiri sisters have their own stories running in parallel with MC story. It's not clear yet whether they will end up as allies or antagonists.
- The witch has her own long story, and is more of an ally than a supporting character. Likewise, Eve's primary focus is on Liz, not on Touka.
- Touka is objectively a very good catch for women. Smart, cunning, powerful, protective of those he cares about and kind under his cold exterior. So it's not surprising that various women find him attractive.
- Aside from Seras, none of the other women dedicate themselves to Touka. Nor are they necessarily around him for extended periods (i.e. they're not permanent supporting characters). I.e. for almost all of them, it's (at most) mild attraction, not love or dedication or subservience.
- Essentially, they're all adults with their own characters, not just props for the MC.
You know what, this author actually isnt that great at developing relationships. Are these moments as robotic and awkward in the novels?
“You’re such a sweet and strong girl”… “yeah… anyway here is my plan”![]()
