it not even about timing... like the conversation was only between the puffball the MMC and FMC and it is not like they did talk about it to anyone else so how does he know ??? magical spies that can escape the eyes of one of the most powerful mage or whatever ? well it is not like it will be addressed anyway

It's implied that the prince has spies in the mansion. We don't know how far the Duke's Mansion is from the palace. It could be closer than whatever field the Duke is in right now and he was notified almost immediately afterwards. So it's not strange for the prince's spies to contact him that night which is several hours afterwards. That and we know magic exists but don't know what kind of communication magic exists? Magic letters that fly thru the sky? Magic phone calls that can instantly send messages?
