Thanks for the TL! This chapter was really funny despite the salamanders being sold to a random human. I suspected this kind of plot was coming when the salamanders decided to hide in a store that sells pet fish but I'm excited to see what kind of hijinks it leads to.

Others have noted it before, but I love how this series is not afraid to get grotesque with its salamander characters and remind us they're not humans with salamander costumes but beings profoundly different from us in nature, culture, and psychology.

I liked the detail that Xiao Liu has been gulping down her food without chewing in the way a snake would eat, but then got confused about how she's chewing it if she doesn't have teeth? I guess most cheesecakes are mushy enough to gum like that, even a Japanese style cheesecake.

The salamander twins eating the goldfish as the others look on in horror while they talk about fish being tastier than human flesh made me laugh out loud.
