Why is every "villain" always completely blind in these stories?

Oh! This must be the part where some random teacher or "genius" questions his qualifications for passing while screaming how he's trash! Then he'll proceed to challenge MC to a fight in order to protect the school's ''face" while concealing his true motive -- which is to either impress or embarrass someone. Ultimately our MC will have a good showing while learning his current limits. Things will probably escalate and before they get out of hand some wise mentor like dude will calm it all down.
Well, that's how I see it happening if things are cliched, but I doubt it will be that simple. I'll look forward to more. Thanks for the release.
