I remember NiseKoi have a great one-shot
but the serialization need to stretch and dilute the shit out of the story.
while it get better, its not quite as simple and glorious as the one-shot.

Thats because the editors force the authors to stretch things out to sell more. I could totally see this being about the kid pushing her cousin to get a new dream. Maybe become a model (she still seems hella hot for it) or maybe becoming a manager for a new group, and inspiring others to follow their dreams.
Doesnt have to be 100+ chapters long, a 40-50ish chapters series would be the sweet spot.

As much as I enjoyed Yakumo-san, the quasi-romantic subtext was always a sticking point for me. I'd probably feel the same way about this if it went to full/limited series. I enjoyed it as a one-shot, and would be somewhat intrigued to read a story about how to live a post-idol life, but the desire to fanservice move copies at the cost of the actual story would most likely cut short its true potential. 🤷‍♂️

It's getting serialized, nice. Took almost 9 months from oneshot release to serialization announcement.

Based on the author's past works which are romcoms, I still think there's a fair chance this also becomes a romcom in the serialization from a comedy. Well, let's see how this goes by then.
