The thing is she ISN'T a girlfailure. She's just the end result of terminal middle manager brain. She's "successful" enough to keep her job but is too arrogant to see how her methods aren't working like they used to.Damn, this woman gives worse girl-failure energy than Sumire....
Like, Sumire is funny, but this woman? She's just sad...
Welcome to the idol & gravure industriesWhy do I get the feeling they weren't discussing her potential as a talented peson, but as a product?![]()
Yeah, I missused the termThe thing is she ISN'T a girlfailure. She's just the end result of terminal middle manager brain. She's "successful" enough to keep her job but is too arrogant to see how her methods aren't working like they used to.
At least Souko and Ayumi, when Yuusei asked them about it, didn't recall anything about her pushing them to do any of that. Maybe Sumire did shield them somehow from Todoroki to the point that they are not even aware of any such attempts, but I imagine it would've been easy for Todoroki, who's Souko's and Ayumi's producer, to push them directly even if Sumire was against it.And now I also wonder: could it be that First Love failed not only because she was a bad producer but also because Sumire (as the group leader) refused to do that or let any of the other girls do that? I wouldn't be surprised if that was her plan all along or at least the lifeline
More importantly, Sumire is likeable, while this lady is not. Sumire is an impulsive wreck, but does not mean anyone any harm, this lady is actively exploitative and seemingly willing to use others without a care just to stay afloat.Damn, this woman gives worse girl-failure energy than Sumire....

I thought so too up until the moment she tried to rob Souko of her earnings. After that, well she has to prove that she's any different from Todoroki.but does not mean anyone any harm
"terminal middle manager brain" is such a good way to put it. For me she's an example of the Peter principle. She may have been a good idol but the promotion to management was a mistake and she's barely holding on to her job, most likely just due to her relationship with the president than anything else. The thing is she ISN'T a girlfailure. She's just the end result of terminal middle manager brain. She's "successful" enough to keep her job but is too arrogant to see how her methods aren't working like they used to.
Great theory, Sumire cunt-blocking her entirely reasonable attempts to whore them out for social credit points in the industry.Yeah, I missused the term
Still...she's still a sad character. I don't mean that I pity her, but the fact that she's so stuck up to the past....I can't help but wonder how many times she went or was sent to sleep with big shots during her idol days and how many she sent from when she started being a producer/manager....
And now I also wonder: could it be that First Love failed not only because she was a bad producer but also because Sumire (as the group leader) refused to do that or let any of the other girls do that? I wouldn't be surprised if that was her plan all along or at least the lifeline
Well, Sumire is comically unstable. This girl is consciously deliberate. That's the difference.I thought so too up until the moment she tried to rob Souko of her earnings. After that, well she has to prove that she's any different from Todoroki.
