In spite of that joke, there was a lot of feels in this chapter. Yuusei does not relate to kids his age. He barely considers the time he spent with Hiyori, and he's totally bored on his date with Sakurai. Perhaps he spent his childhood fixated on Sumire, and thinking about becoming her promoter, cause he def didn't spend that time thinking about normal kid stuff. Sad! Or maybe Sumire is so fun to be around that regular kid stuff just doesn't do it anymore. Freaky!

i think it's both. Yuusei is hyper fixated on being her producer not only because hes genuinely a fan of her as a performer but, even if he's still unaware of it himself, also because he's in love with her... i really like their dynamic.
edit: re-reading the chapter there's a nice detail that could be interpreted as a continuity error, but when Yuusei goes to Sumire's home the moon is waning but later it is shown as a full moon. I think this is clearly a use of the classic tsuki=suki japanese metaphor.

It's actually pretty good, since the japanese starts at 3 stars for "expected/so-so" and 5 stars for "above and beyond" in contrast of elsewhere where we tend to start at 5 stars and reduce it for unpleasant experiences.

So 3.6 over there is closer to probably 4.4 elsewhere.

Also the reason why tourist/immigrant/foreign worker-dense areas tend to have their ratings inflated.

Dude isn't ruined by girlfailures, he's just not into vapid, vain, boring and absent people. Sakurai made the date shit. Been there done that, I'd rather take a girl who has a look of madness in her eyes that drags you to into weird and unpredictable circumstances. Makes for good memories too.
