I wonder if it ever occurred to all those "everybody hates me because I'm an otaku" types that it wasn't their hobbies that turned normal people away, it was the fact that most of them were socially maladjusted gooners with victim complexes.

There is a reason why so many people were "secret otaku" back then vs now. It was not a socially acceptable hobby. You were crazy about cars or football? To the point of talking just about that, sporting your team's merch, etc. - a bit annoying, but normal dude. Do the same with anime? Nerd.

Ofc we can also clearly see that MC is and was a socially maladjusted loser. I feel like the reason they drifted apart is because FMC got back issues from carrying all of their interactions.

I pretty much agree though. Maybe all those "woe is me, I'm so persecuted for liking anime" people should've learned to grow some backbone and stand up for themselves. In the same time frame as this MC, I went to public schools full of knucke-dragging bullies and mouth-breathers, and somehow I managed to not get shoved in lockers after playing Yu-gi-oh! and Pokemon in my school cafeteria.

The plot being some insecure dude using time travel to NTR a high class guy is pretty weird.

Ah. Mm. Nah, not liking that. Way too much martyrdom/depressing nonsense in the current time, and then actually what the fuck is the author doing skipping that much time in the past. Also the MC's mentality around women is fucking mental.

"Real" Otaku are different to modern Otaku and the MC is upset about this is one thing, your MC being just a straight up piece of shit is completely different.

A manga where the ENTIRE premise is about a character growing as a person, and you skip a HUGE amount of time of that growth? What the fuck?? No, actually, it doesn't fucking count for shit mr author if all your character's growth and development happens so offscreen even they don't know how it happened.

I think I have similar premise to this:
The MC change his current past so that the FMC will be married to him instead of another person. Obviously not Tokyo Revenger, she just died. Or maybe I just misremembered.

Because there is one when it is reversed; the mc go to the future to find out he is married to this popular girl. When he do something in the present, his relationship with his wife also changed. I can't remember the name thought.

Nah, I’m out. The time travel dynamic was interesting for a chapter, but the MC is an incorrigible twat.

the starting reason for going to the past because of a girl is bad, even if later he found a more important reason for changing the past.

his reason for going to the past does get better latter, not simply because of a girl. but people already getting turned off by the starting reason. Yeah, his starting reason left a bad taste in the mouth.

It would be better if from the start he wants to change the past simply to try to make his life better like the other 3 series I follow with similar premise, but this time centered around otaku stuff, for example going to the past to involve himself in anime industry or try to changing people's opinions about otaku to be more positive.

He is fully aware he doesn't know what happened in the new history; he really should not be doing that. He could easily show up in a future that he can't manage without his memories (eg, become a doctor, etc), and what the hell is he going to do to solve that? Hes gonna have to plead some kind of mental illness, and any gains he got from rewriting the past are basically gone. Even if he did an "invest in bitcoin", will he know the password to the account?

We got our main irl reference in "The Girl That Lept Through Time" this chapter. Quota filled. So far so good.

Thanks for the translation (I liked that movie. I thought it was pretty alright).
