Who cares about prophesies concerning an individual person? There's a thousand ways trying to avoid something will be the very thing that leads to it. You might as well assume you are going to face the critical danger no matter what, so train like crazy to get stronger, gather life-saving treasures, and have allies around if you can.

Did they ever get the point across that they need to start worshiping the Fire god again? Or did I miss it. Like one of the major reason's for them conquering the dungeon was to get the dwarves to balance out their worship but maybe this situation is to time critical to just tell them quick and dirty?

I think if I remember, the worship won’t matter without the artifact. The artifact collects the worship-power, I think. So without it, the deity is just slowly dying off.
