It's really absurd that they hunt the girl. They believed killing her would save them. The reason they trusted is the connected name.
But, in the real world, there is people who have this kind of believe and out hunt people.
Though, the hunt itself isn't this intense. (as far as I know) It's still pretty scary with that such a believe. They could destroy people without much thought of it.
