Some notes for this upload:
- So ends vol 2. Next volume will have a whole new MC, but a couple familiar faces will show up.
- Again, bravo to those who predicted the twist, I think some even back in vol 1.
- It's interesting enough the grandma didn't go for a family grave to bury both Takeshi and Yuki, but I wonder where she got the funds for two separate graves when she was already tight on money.
- Not sure if it's relevant to the plot, but having a knife, rope, and a button-up shirt in a drawer is...interesting.

Lmao, gotta be some thick opera makeup unless shes maybe in her 40s or 50s and the guy at the end maybe thats grandpa trying to get her stop being crazy. 
It threw me off at first, but I like this kind of staggered storytelling. It's unique and it makes the story itself a puzzle.

hot damn i thought the two stories was unrelated but then the reveal! 🤯
Hot granny comments aside (sorry, I still simp for Kurihara), I just wanted to throw out some thoughts I have about the mysteries shown so far, and I'm pretty sure these don't spoil the events of the next volume.
- Granny is the mysterious "third person" mentioned in the first volume. I wonder why Ren/Takeshi tried to hide her existence.
- I think someone had the same thought, but I'm pretty sure granny is A-ko, the little girl who murdered her mother. She mentioned a couple times how her mother abused her. There was also the way she snapped when accused of abuse herself, and the psychologist claimed she had a nurturing heart deep down inside all that violence. We saw that with how she treated Yuuta, but I can easily see how that can turn her into a "protective mama bear," we've seen that happen at the end of this chapter. So to me, it seems she has a history of violence and perhaps that's why she avoided the police this whole time.
- Ren's last blog post was to his "most beloved." We're led to believe that's Yuki, but I think it can just as easily be his mother/Yuuta's granny. The only real evidence I have for this is that the post mentioned crimes, and so far granny was the only one who was shown to commit any sort of crime. But that's hardly conclusive, so I'm still not sure either way.
- If granny was in fact Ren's "most beloved," it makes me wonder if she was Yuki's murderer, hence Ren being unable to forgive her but still loving her. I doubt this for a few reasons. First, what possible motive would she have to murder her daughter-in-law, especially given her "nurturing" attitude? Second, how would she pull that off? She wasn't shown to have any medical background, so I don't see how she'd have the opportunity to be present during Yuki's c-section. Third, she doesn't seem to be the scheming mastermind type, anything she does is almost out of panic.
- If it's true Ren's "most beloved" is his mother and if she was indeed responsible for Yuki's murder (and I think those are two big ifs), I don't think she'd be directly responsible. I think back on what Kurihara said about someone in the hospital staff having a vendetta. So I think the most likely scenario is that granny did something against one of the staff, and instead of taking revenge against granny herself, the staff decided to kill Yuki instead (perhaps because they know how to cover up the murder, and/or it'll hurt granny the most). This might explain why granny had a separate grave for Yuki, out of guilt for being responsible for her death.

- I'm pretty sure granny had the knife and rope (and shirt?) in one drawer to prepare for stalker man. She even waited until the door closed before stabbing him so that nobody sees her. But what exactly was her game plan? Stab him, tie him up, give him the Left Hand Memorial treatment?
- Speaking of stalker man, he wasn't subtle at all, he wanted granny to know she was being watched. Regardless of whether he knows her past history, he'd have to have known that something would happen if he stepped inside her room. Wonder what his game plan was, too.

I bet she's not supposed to have Yuuta! And that she was the veteran midwife Takahashi talked about! She gave bad advice because she didn't want to share her son! Heck, Takahashi probably realized it, and was going to cut contact! I think I was right, and he realized the last two pictures were a message to be realized only in the future, realizing they were meant to be together, to make him look at the original three again! Maybe she even killed him!
And she probably deleted all the blog posts that talked about her, too!

I think the original wife truly did some terrible thing. That's why the grandmother did not allow her to be buried with the husband. I'm also thinking she may not have been the third person in the story. I think we still don't know but given her fear for Yuuta I'm thinking that she took over in response to the crime that the birth mother committed. That's why she is so on edge and afraid of police and the stalking because they are trying to take Yuuta. Lastly, her son probably killed himself in guilt from whatever happened.
As someone who's read the original book this manga is based on (I highly recommend reading it once you finish this manga, Uketsu's writing style is very unique and approachable in my opinion), it's very interesting to see what everyone is theorizing so far! I wonder if there's going to be any changes to the narrative like how there was with the adaptation of Strange Houses... So far it's stuck to the book but I'm very interested to see if there's any major departures.
Ah, so there were differences between the novel and the manga for Strange Houses. I read comments that contradicted each other on that. Might have a read once I have some spare time and compare the two.
Would highly recommend the original book. Without spoiling what exactly what changed, it was something that made a scene technically more exciting to read as a manga but completely fucked up the entire last reveal of the book. I won't say anymore since I think it's best to experience blind, but make sure to read the book's afterword.
Just finished reading the whole manga. I know the whole manga was connected because we still haven't finished with all the mysteries from the first volume. I also know the cake number is odd, and it means they have another person with them, but these are the only things I predict 😅 All basic stuff. I also know that something is up with her makeup and she uses it to hide her age, but not by that much. That's pretty amazing, being able to make people think your grandson is your son. All the previous commenters who were able to predict a lot of the mystery are amazing.

On page 32 this Takeshi man said something about this "Nanashino Ren" and his name can be related somehow and I want to know about this so bad, so if someone who know Japanese writing and figured the word play behind this please let me know

Hoo boy. I thought about this a while back and I still don't know if I'm anywhere near the answer, so take the following with a heap of salt.
Konno Takeshi's name in Japanese is 今野武司, "Nanashino Ren's" name is 七篠レン. The only connection I could make is that the "take" 武 in Takeshi sounds like bamboo, and "shino" 篠 is some type of bamboo. "Nana" 七 in some cases can be pronounced "shi", which sounds like the "shi" 司 in Takeshi's name. Clear as mud?
As for "Ren", I haven't a clue. But seeing how the timeline jumps around a bit, I wouldn't be too surprised if they come back to this in some future chapter.
