Ooh, a manga adaptation of House of Leaves would be amazing. Or maybe just the Navidson Records, since adapting any other part would be...difficult.

note: Kurihara has an addendum in the printed version of Strange Houses that wasn’t adapted into the manga version for some reason, so that may be why he’s acting ambivalent. I’ll try and take pictures of his addendum and add it to the final chapter forum thread for the previous arc, but the book has been translated into English officially, so you can also go find it at a library or store.

imagine johnny’s writing just spilling out on the margins, between the panels, on the underside of the jacket, it would be so wild. honestly they should just go crazy with it, have panels tunnel through the book, write on the edge painting, have the reader hold a page up to the light to see the other side, that sort of stuff. Since a direct adaptation wouldn’t work, they should leverage the strengths of the medium
