So, Roa's eyes function somewhat like the Byakugan from Naruto? Telescopic vision, X-Ray-like ability but cannot turn it off? That must have been torture. In fact, it reminds me of Hollow Man's tiny plot: This invisible guy, like his body is completely transparent to light, cannot sleep normally because light passed through his eyelid. Even if he closed his eye physically, his eye still perceive and process light. So he need to sleep in a completely darkened room.

That also reminds me of some one-off DC characters from back in the Silver Age. They were from a future long after all of the contemporary heroes had died or buggered off somewhere. Each person on this team was artificially granted one of Superman's powers through a combination of genetic modification, cybernetics, and other super-science. However, they all suffered drawbacks from their lone power, mostly stemming from not being able to turn it off. The guy with flight had to be tethered when he wasn't active, because he would otherwise drift aimlessly whenever he wasn't focused on flying in a particular direction. The super strength guy had to have other people feed, clothe, and clean him, because he would otherwise crush whatever he tried to pick up. The super-breath guy had to have his chest harnessed in order to breathe normally. The invulnerable girl was encased in a small forcefield, and could no longer touch anyone or anything. How she was supposed to eat or change clothes was never addressed. The guy with heat vision had to wear a Cyclops-style visor to prevent accidental discharge, and even then he had to only sleep for a few minutes at a time: if he didn't shoot off a blast every hour or so, he would explode.

Show your gratitude properly. You should thank your lucky stars you have someone so competent helping you, especially after how rude you've been.

I just realized Roa's outfit ends in a hotpants while Ahri's in a miniskirt. Ig that's another way to differentiate them.

There's a Marvel version of this as well, North Korea tried to create their own X-Men using stolen DNA. For example the NK version of Wolverine had the bone claws and regen. However the regen was so strong he constantly had to use his claws to cut his mouth and nose open because the it would cause his flesh to grow over and seal them, causing him to suffocate.

It's part of the original run of Deadpool comics if you want to look it up.

That explains Deadpool's appearance in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Someone must've seen that issue and got tragically confused.
