In WN this was mildly important. He will became fixated on a rank. At that point in time in will be known that he poses power of a S rank an they ready to promote him but he declines (i maybe mistaken on this one). There going to be request from his home's noble for help but he declined not because revenge or malice but he doesn't have enough rank.
