Is what she said in Chinese is "raise",

i saw a case like that, raise was use, translated it to "support" in English. which is kinda understandable, but feel like not carry the same mean and vibe. because the raise, like in raise a kid, also use the same as in the "breadwinner of the family" sense.

It's really noticeable how they're both thinking about the other when it comes to these concerns - You Yu wanting to support Chi Tang both now and in the future, and Chi Tang worrying about the pressure You Yu is putting herself under . . .

I get the feeling Chi Tang would feel a little scandalised if she knew that You Yu wasn't thinking about anyone but her - Chi Tang certainly doesn't consider herself important enough for that, and You Yu is far too important in her mind to be wasting so much of her time on someone so insignificant. At the same time, though, I think Chi Tang is just a little bit chuffed that they're so close, and that their dorm mates (and friends!) see them as special to each other. I mean, it's embarrassing for her, but at the same time it clearly gives Chi Tang a warm fuzzy feeling.

Whereas You Yu is waaay past the point of no return . . . Still plenty of warm fuzzies for her, of course, but she's getting further and further into the "Oh my god she's so beautiful I just want to kiss her" stage of falling in love. Though I'm far from certain that she'll actually kiss Chi Tang, at least not for a long while yet . . .

Chi Tang 1000% needs You Yu in her life. If Chi Tang won't love herself, then You Yu will. These two are precious!

Teen drama is becoming gay drama and I'm here for it. You Yu having all these confusing feelings is too freaking precious 🤌

I totally get Chi Tang, she doesn't want to feel like someone You Yu will grow tired of and You doesn't understand just how deep that worry runs. She just like me frfr.

You Yu is too timid to reach out, shake her crush and tell her "You're who I want to take care of, no one else." Actually, bets on her finally getting it and tries to lock it away..

Can't fault Chi Tang for her line of thought, feeling like a burden is terrible, even if the other person doesn't see things that way, you know you have an impact on their life and you'd almost rather not exist than burden them

I'm not sure if i'm misunderstanding you but the "support" usage in this case implied being the breadwinner as well.

hence i said understandable.
But, i don't think in english have the actual same equal word. never see "support" use, said anywhere in any english media. so "support" is just a stand in word. Kinda like translate Ninja as Assassin, which is, correct, but also feel wrong.
But Chinese do have that word. but even if translate it "raise" it also doesn't work the same, because you only use it for kid.

They both have broken parents but You you has much strong personality, She's using more of using her intelligence though equal to her emotions, and Chi Tang needs to know it because her words seems she received the same treatment and a little jealous with friends of You you.

Hmm I see. Usually translations/localizations aren't just 1-to-1 direct word for word replacements because it just doesn't work well. It's about capturing the essence and meaning of what is being said. The way "support" is used in the whole phrase here does that and is easily understood. I don't think anything is being lost here.
