I think 5 more chapters hahawhen will this agony will over![]()
I agree. He never feels at all necessary. It just feels like a sudden, weird detour of chapters than back to normal. The weirdest padding I've seen in a while. It works because I just pretend it never happened. Why did author even add this idiot? He doesn't do anything except be an annoying piece of shit
I've seen a comment saying that his shenanigans would make girls closer, but they were doing fine on their own
He should try doing a flip off of a skyscraper
We're being lied to...Hoodie says "ORANGE" on it
Is green
This manhua doesn't even need padding because nothing happens in the first place, the normal chapters are padding enoughI agree. He never feels at all necessary. It might feel a bit late in the story but it works perfectly well as a narrative vehicle to showcase Chi Tang's character growth from her juvenile days, as well as her clear taking of sides against the representation of her "old life" as it tries to put a wedge between her and her "current life". We see that she's still resistant to thinking about the future and as someone who represents her days of irresponsibly living in the present, it was important for her to receive this push from him to highlight that while she isn't quite where You Yu wants her to be, she's moving towards that and away from how she once was.I agree. I never read him as a jealousy test and the story makes it very clear he is not. I read him as unrealistic and near cartoon-level villainy. His sudden introduction coupled with his actions is clunky at best to me. There are far better ways to get the point across. It might feel a bit late in the story but it works perfectly well as a narrative vehicle to showcase Chi Tang's character growth from her juvenile days, as well as her clear taking of sides against the representation of her "old life" as it tries to put a wedge between her and her "current life". I think the biggest mistake people are making is reading his character as a "jealousy test" - you don't have to like his introduction but it feels like the complaints are missing the point entirely to begin with by seeing it that way
