nice story, though i need to read the missing chapters from a different site...

Was a good read, interesting plot and character dynamics on top of a cool setting with good art. I did find characterization in general to be somewhat two dimensional, but it sort of fits with the folk lore-y vibe so I didn't mind too much. Only real issue I had with this work was how men are portrayed; I don't really mind it if all the men are these abusive, oppressive overbearing characters, especially given the setting and how every character in this is "bad" in varying degrees, but I feel like this part in particular is given too little depth. It does sort of make sense as this is going for a female POV type of thing, but with the writing of the male characters it mostly just come off as a very lazy "penis havers bad, everything hard for women ", which I found a bit off putting since I feel like there is a whole lot of missed potential for this work as a whole.

But oh well, in the end it doesn't take away from the plot, and following the relationship between our two FLs was still very enjoyable. I'm a bit lazy so I won't go into more detail, will just leave this with saying that this is definitely one I can recommend.

Alternative title should be: "Misery Porn: And You Thought Western Setting (Pseudo)Historical Settings Were Regressive". There is everything, except racism, for obvious reasons.
Basically, too much salt, nowhere near enough sugar. There are no friends or allies... Well, except one maybe, but it's that type that is very easy to hate, that loves to meddle, rather than sharing the information. Gather everyone in sack and hit it with sticks, doesn't matter who gets more. Except for the monk. Bald fucker deserves so much more. The issue is, this manhwa doesn't give you the satisfaction.

Even when they get their comeuppance, it's not enough. Bald fucker deserved so much more. So so much more.

Overall it's really depressing.
The other fundamental issue is that plot threads don't really weave together all that well. Some stuff comes out of nowhere and goes nowhere.

finished! i think it's generally good but some flaws. a lot of melodrama and weak characterizations. i would say that i am satisfied after finishing though and now i need a spin-off with the step-daughter and the fortune teller ASAP.

I read the spanish mexican version because it had all the chapter and it was great.

This story was so fucked up when you look at every side character. Like there was no one that supported their relationship everyone was a villain and wanted them to split.
The romance was so good and entertaining. it felt real for most of the series and because of the time setting I really believed that women can be treated in that way.
The relationship was weird. like we get the sweet moments but then they gave us the other point of view and made me feel bad but then it was reinforced by it also. weird right xd.
In the end it was entertaining and made you really care about the Female leads. 8.5/10

Me encanto siento que es una historia que tiene sus pros y contras. Entre los pro encontré que el arte es hermoso, el diseño de personajes y los fondos eran perfectos, en cuanto a la relación su desarrollo se sintió muy real, otro punto interesante es el rol o comportamiento de los hombres muy bien lo explica el autor en las notas, de que fue hecho intencionalmente y así mostrar una realidad que se a dado en la historia del mundo . En cuanto a sus contras es verdad que algunas historias no estaban bien enlazadas y parecía que aparecian de la nada, y que no habian aliados ni amigos que ayudaran a los personajes principales, pero teniendo en cuenta que hacer más largo este manhwa era mucho trabajo y que aunque algunas cosas eran muy crueles hay que entender el entorno y el tiempo en que se desarrolla. Lo califiqué con nota 10/10 porque considere que tiene más virtudes que defectos, es una historia linda que tiene un gran potencial, recomendado para cualquiera que ame el yuri.
