Anyways, I guess this series is done. I'm probably gonna do Ookami-san or Manosaba manga sometime soon.

I don't know if the axing was expecting, but if it was, having Kyapi come back was a mistake imo, that ending could have been so much better

Not a whole lot incest but I'm happy author-san managed to reshape the dream they had but kept its spirit. Because it's very obvious given the pacing that we'll never see Sera become a real idol.

The writing is trying to create a similarity between Sera and Kyapi, but Kyapi is largely more unlikable. While Sera regularly keeps getting dealt a bad hand and is unable to work her way out of it, Kyapi could never walk far enough to commit to anything before getting tired of it. Now that she'a vtuber, Kyapi'll get her love and adoration, but that will never compare to being adored by your little sister.

This is a lot like Monsters University with the lesson that you can't always be what you want to be. It's also very uneven in the writing which won't put it among the greats (or even the good enough), but it's just okay.

Neptunia was that anime that I used to secretly watch on late night TV

Oh man, I wish I would have played Neptunia and other (Ecchi/eroge) games when I was younger; now I don't got no drive for it

I think a lot of us liked where this started at and believed in its potential, but ultimately it became a lot of a nothing burger for me.

Well, not really starting point; there's a little change, but it's kinda underwhelming

Honestly this ending won't be the one people wanted, but it's probably the most realistic. People don't change that easily, at best they learn to cope with their own faults, falling into the same pitfalls again and again while steadily getting better at climbing their way out of them. and I think overall this was a good depiction of that. It's bittersweet, and nobody really became their ideal self, but they did learn more about themselves and become at least slightly better versions of themselves in the process. Which is really all that many of us can hope for.
