Da Wan ponned the 4p, discarded the Dora 3p, then ronned on the 2p pair. This means he was already in closed tenpai for double south iipeiko Dora Dora, a mangan/haneman hand. He ponned that away to secure a 2600 point win. But because it was a direct hit from Nishikata, he got knocked down to last place. So he made an unorthodox play to perfectly snipe Nishikata. I guess we'll next learn about the scoring system of this 6 hanchan match and how the placement bonuses work.
