I'm not going to worry about the dude who took on multiple superpowers at essentially the same time when he's fighting a mere brainwashed cyborg and some killer robots, what i'm worried about is what sword-san is going to do to the regular humans.

@Kaldrak assuming that a mary sue can be a male (which isn't true to my understanding), then yes, the majority of wuxia mc can be considered as such because they become OP seemingly without effort. however mc in this story is neither female nor effortlessly strong, just absurdly strong from singlehandedly killing demons and gods repeatedly for a long time. plus a mary sue being a character without flaws, it's still possible to make an interesting story with a flawless character. having such a character go around instantly destroying everything gets boring pretty quickly. OPM avoids this by focusing on the world and the other heroes around saitama, this manhua tries to make it interesting by getting mc dragged into situations he doesn't want to be in, and seeing how it plays out.

@merukit Calling the male version of a Mary Sue a Gary Stu or whatever is a distinction without a purpose that I don't bother with. It is quite applicable to males however, if you'd like to check out the TV Tropes page. There are plenty of relevant examples.

OPM is satire, and it's much, much better satire than this is, so it avoids the trope. And I would argue that Zero is pretty effortlessly strong in literally every portrayal. His epic backstory where he trained like Goku with endless battles is just that, backstory. Almost none of it has been shown, and I don't think it qualifies.

Anyway, I'm not saying that this isn't readable or entertaining, I'm just questioning my own reasons for reading it. Hope you have a nice day.
