I just realized: the story those two guests said happened between the Queen and the Hero was actually what the priest/gods saw in their prophecy in the beginning. Technically speaking, she would be freed from the doomed future by simply changing into a different identity at this point.

I would understand the misunderstandings more if like all of them weren't due to characters being delusional as hell and somehow thinking he is saying thing he didn't or saying more than he came close to saying.
He could say "Hello, good morning to you!" and they will somehow mishear it as him roasting their entire lineage, every choice in life they have made and calling them a bitch just cause. It's misunderstanding purely for the sake of misunderstanding.
