Presumably she is the type of person who warped herself into chasing power for the sake of power (probably because of the god’s prophecy). Similarly, those who chase power in these stories have a 99% chance of holding equivalent values regardless of the flavoring. That means, for someone as powerful and foretold as this MC, it makes absolutely no sense that he’d be as powerful as he is without passion for power, much less ignorant of it.
