It had to start somewhere, but some generations down the line monster girls will be a thing.

Thanks for the translation!
It's strange to think of beastmen as a result of natural evolution when they can breed with humans. It either means they evolved from some of the same ancestral species as us and are part of the Homo genus (or even the Homo sapiens species, making it even weirder), or that it's just a very, very lucky coincidence that we are genetically similar enough to be able to breed.

I might be, and probably am, speaking bullshit, since my knowledge of interbreeding is basic level, but it's a fantasy topic I often think about. Personally I'm more comfortable with them being magically created chimeras.

This is mostly a visual nitpick — but I just realized how strange it is the fact that werewolves are one of the less energetic species in this series, it might be because part of their communication functions through smell but it’s still strange how the dog-people are less animated than the lizard-people.

Hey the professor is a brave, brave man. Paving the way for neko girls and such for future generations. He should be commended.

I am late to the party, but no, that's not a proposal, lol.
She smells, or feels that he needs a way to call her, so she gives him the grass.
