Haven't seen this in a LONG time, I remember when this came out and for like the first 10 chapters people where like its GL and it even had the GL tag I'm pretty sure

Now I see that NOT only is it completed but the GL tag is removed

Well, at the time, 90% of people who called it yuri did so solely because it had two female leads and they desperately ship them. It's a bit of magical thinking. The original manga on a number of platforms does have that tag, but I can't guarantee it's not just "emotional bonds" between the female characters, because while some chapters in the raws do look pretty sus, it doesn't look like there was any active romance or anything like that in the ending. But hey, the translation of this manga is active again, so you'll just have to wait and see for yourself.
