There's a weird disconnect in this series. As presented to us, Hibiki is a violent sociopath who gives no thought to the consequences of her actions. When someone annoys her, it's a tossup other whether she's going to seriously injure them or recklessly put her own life in danger. But for some strange reason, the people around her see this and act likes she's this charismatic figure whose drive and integrity inspire them to reflect on their shortcomings and better themselves. So far all of the antagonists have been selfish and deceitful men trying to use her in some way, but Hibiki has yet to meet her true nemesis: a kind and honest person who sees that she's a danger to herself and others and tries to get her help.
