The main problem I have with this series so far is that the main character doesn't seem to have any motivation or goal they're working towards. Considering they want the eye that is said to resurrect the dead maybe they want to resurrect to their brother? But if that's what they want to do then why did they disguise themselves as their brother and spend years fighting in a war instead of looking for the eye?

I mean, it seems like the real issue is your reading comprehension?

She transformed, not a disguise, into a man and fought in the war FIRST, and had that final battle with the lich-wannabe and died.
Then find herself back to life and back to female body with 3 years of time left.

NOW she's trying to find the artifacts in some relation to that 3 years deadline.
