Holy fuckin hell.

I give up.

I just give up.

Out of curiousity I checked. This series got not one, but TWO sequel series. One is 10 volume long. The other is 20 volume long so far, and according to wikipedia is still ongoing.

We will never escape this hell.

Ehhh... feels like a bit of a copout. Oh well, kinda to be expected by this point though.

It never end and there is no good reason for keep doing that ! The author is bad ! This is hilarious at this point.

There is two sequel to this !

I keep reading it, because im fascinated on how the author doesnt give a f about logic.

This is truly interesting, this manga is hollow. The idea of vampire/demon and this creepy village on a recluded island was good.

Good ideas but bad execution.

Miyabi is literally jeopardizing his plans just for the lulz.
Before the last two chapters, does anyone have the demons' height chart?

Apparently it's from the series handbook

I'm hyped for the sequel, 47 days to kill Miyabi (without the vaccine and most of the resistance destroyed)

Truly.

This shit is so bad. I'm only reading this because... Well, this is a train crash in manga form, it's so bad I can't look away. And I mean that in the worst way possible.

I don't open the chapters here looking for a good time, I open them just to see what kind of stupid shit the author is trying to pass as a narrative this time.

Case in point, Miyabi going "Finally caught you!" Like, bitch, you've had him against the wall so many times, you could've killed him SO MANY TIMES ALREADY, he's not finally caught, this is one of the many times you have him and could kill him easily.

But as with all the other times, Miyabi is playing with his food, and is going to let him go.

Like.... I don't get WHY this is the end of this part, and the point in the story where we're splitting off for a sequel, this is no different than any other moments in the manga where Akira gets his ass HANDED to him, while everyone else keeps looking on and going "Akira! No! Our only hope!"

I do suppose we have a "countdown" this time. But given how the resistance is ALWAYS on the verge of being wiped out, but never quite is despite how often we see people being killed, I highly doubt the author will be capable of keeping that countdown timer narratively intense.

But as I've said before, we're here only to suffer.

@egi321 The author himself doesn't take this manga seriously objectively from the moment they step on the island, and neither should you, just turn your brain and enjoy the ride for what it is, trying to review this series with a critical mindset is basically pointless as "It's Not Supposed to Win Oscars" is quite one of the defining tropes for this one.

It's an actual so-bad-it's-good C-horror shounen stupid mess as all hell the author decided to go with after the first escape attempt, even the japanese fanbase mostly consider it to be a crazy log-wielding horror gag-manga. It indeed only got actually really popular when the author went with the "fuck it, let's make it a complete mess" route once the "Master" arc began (as if the peeing galore and vampire farmers milking naked humans in a feed-and-shit chair mechanism wasn't enough at the start).

You should see the spectacle that was the 2016's anime adaptation he authorized and went with, proving that point further, and also see which had a more entertained reception by the fans (go by NIcoNico's streaming comments), the more serious live-action series or the "more faithful" anime miniseries (the 3-minutes run down of the entire story is just hilariously on-point).

If you are not enjoying your time seeing the mess get even messier and are actually trying to objectively analyze it in any way, you will only find out that it apparently will get even more absurd and ridiculous as the series progresses. You are just wasting your good time, I would suggest to go read some other vampire horror that actually wants to be taken seriously instead haha (only the Higanjima characters take things seriously, and at times even them actively attack the suspension of disbelief madness they are being faced with, for the memes lol)

That goes for everyone really, this manga is written to a niche of people who likes trashy horror plot with cool imagery and memes. Either you are here for exactly that or you are a masochist/completionist (because this manga series is longer than Naruto with no end in sight), there's no in-between, quite the love-or-hate (justifiably enough, let's be real) binarism

Is Miyabi the Joker now?!

"I can't kill you, because you're just too much fun!"
