I think sniping very much applies here. The group even has its own MD account. (The link probably leads to an old aggregator that has since been taken over by bad actors, thanks for pointing that out.) PMing it would be trivial, and if you get no answer, then you can claim that you didn't snipe the series.

Also, Higehiro was a monthly series. 4 months ago, we released two chapters shortly after each other, after which I don't think the wait, while long, was tragic enough for the series to count as abandoned. And I am likewise saddened by the removal of previous chapters, but the mass purging of manga and the new rules at MD unfortunately scared some people in the group shitless, and I can't say I blame them.

First of all, I already said in the announcement that I don't have any problem if someone else is working on the series. The problem is some people blamed us for the bad quality of that release and why would I take that? I just clarified that in the announcement page.
The old site was an aggregator site which was taken down and now we have our own site https://omuricescans.art .
Also Chapter 64 was not uploaded by "Someone else", it was our group member and still working with us. We used his account cause at that time mass DMCA takedown was ongoing due to policy changes of Mangadex. So we didn't use our group account.

i don't fucking care about this whole drama, what i want is to read the final chapter, and by what @TooOldForThis said, the final chapter has been out for AT LEAST 8 months, and we only got chapter 65 4 months ago, and chapter 66 2 weeks ago. at this point, i'd take a fucking MTL, just to be fucking over with this series.

I also personally don't see it as sniping so I had a discussion within the team about it but their opinion is theirs and mine is mine.
The people have been very busy which is why QC, TS etc took their time.
As for the last chapter, I'm quite busy now with work and studies which is why I can do the TL earliest next week
