I'm more interested in how big class 1-2 actually is. If it is 22+ and Edogawa always never scored less then 22pl. in school ranking, than that place in class 1-2 always belonged to him, anyways. Goofup in the initial test?

Something else: If class 1-2 is that special class reserved for the top of the top, than why didn't the school reserved the name 1-1 for it? 1-1 is actually the 3rd ranked class. I get that there is the special class for geniuses and the rest are seemingly open for everyone. That's why class numbers are all over the place in Class-ranking. But why 1-2????? I don't get it.

@Qelix I guess the class numbers are assigned base on the physical location of the classroom.
And the place number 2 probably the most optimum place for learning (cool, quiet, no distraction, etc...)
