Bad choice. If this is going to happen again I'll drop the series because this is ridiculous as hell. It's always, Ill drop this because that girl is unwell. Its curious how they love making stories about pure love, but it all goes down as soon as a character stays one milimeter away from the girl. And then the guy throws away his dreams because he's too much of a pussy to make things work, so gives up on something that will be equally important to this future, instead or trying to solve the problem, and get to keep both.
This move is not a show of devotion and love, it's a show of cowardice and safety.

They are trying to play as if the MC even needed to leave 1-2 to stay close to the girl, and he doesn't. This shouldn't even be a choice at this point.
