The last flashback showed that Haruo was accepted as Akira's boyfriend by her Mother. The letter sent to koharu by Onno's matriarch invited her and haruo to los ángeles. And based on Miyao's Word a few chapters ago, Koharu and Haruo did flew to United states sometime during their College years. So i think its safe to say that by now haruo is Akira's husband or at least fiancee, so he must be living in los ángeles.

If she hadnt gotten over Haruo, she would have never backed him up against Akira's Mother. And much less had gotten that miraculous perfect Víctory against the Mother just to force her to accept Haruo as Akira's lover.
